Customer Trainer

We are growing fast and now have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Trainer in our Customer Technical Support Department based at our headquarters in Swavesey, near Cambridge.
Cordic provides powerful, sophisticated systems to customers whose skill sets are not primarily technical. Customer training has therefore always been an important part of our business. We require a professional, experienced trainer to enhance the quality and scope of our training. We value creative thinkers and offer the chance to be part of a vibrant team in a small enterprise setting, applying your expertise and developing new skills.
You will be required to:
- Analyse training needs - the level of people's knowledge can vary greatly, so you may be delivering sessions to people with basic knowledge of PC operation or teaching very experienced computer users how to use Cordic specific software.
- Design course materials and other documents such as handouts, manuals and exercises.
- Organise and market courses to meet the needs of learners and the demands of the business.
- Prepare the learning environment and resources, including setting up IT equipment.
- Deliver training programmes to clients either in a group classroom setting, or on a one-to-one basis.
- Deliver customer training at our Swavesey office or at customers’ offices.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the training and course outcomes.
- The roles will also involve providing 1st and 2nd support as part of the Cordic Service Desk while not involved in training activities.
To be successful you must have:
- A degree or extensive experience in a similar role
- A proven track record in customer training
- Previous experience within a technical role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A full driving licence

Financial Controller
(Full-Time – Permanent) £45,000 to £55,000 plus life insurance, 24 days holiday, BUPA membership and annual bonus scheme.

Our success is built on market-leading products, technical leadership and first-class customer support. We are growing fast and now require a Financial Controller to enhance our senior management team based at our headquarters in Swavesey, near Cambridge.
Are you an ambitious, dynamic Finance Professional with experience of adding value to rapidly growing companies? Do you have experience of, or a very strong interest in the technology industry? If so, Cordic is expanding its senior management team and is looking for an energetic high profile Finance Professional to drive the business forward and continue our rapid growth rate. Your role will be hugely varied and includes a large advisory element, developing systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company's finances, as well as being in charge of statutory accounts, staff management and other ad hoc projects.
To be considered for this role you must be a qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA). Ideally you will have experience of working in the technology sector or you could be from a practice background with strong experience advising growing businesses and adding value to their operations. You must have strong IT skills, including Excel. Experience of acting in a similar role, or managing a team, is desirable but not essential.

Software Engineer

We develop systems using a variety of technologies - principally C++, Java, SQL and C# - spanning a variety of platforms - Android, Pocket PC, Desktop, Server and Web. Customer Technical Support Engineer

Owing to our continued success we are growing fast and are looking for a Customer Technical Support Engineer to be based at our headquarters in Swavesey, near Cambridge.
This role is ideal for an Engineer who is able to adapt their approach to clients who have a wide and broad range of technical abilities. To be successful you will be able to strike the balance between your excellent phone support skills, logical / analytical problem solving and use of your initiative to ensure continued customer satisfaction.
We are a growing company which allows flexibility in using your overall skills set, in and outside of the technical support environment. You would be joining a vibrant team in a small enterprise setting that will make the most of your creative thinking, expertise and allow you to develop new skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Act as an initial point of contact for Cordic customers
- Take ownership, diagnose and resolve reported issues in a timely manner
- Configure Cordic systems prior to customer delivery
- Occasional onsite visits to Cordic customer sites to install or maintain their systems
Essential skills and abilities:
- Good scientific/engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Prior experience of installing, configuring and maintaining Windows-based systems
- Demonstrable logical problem solving
- Excellent customer service and telephone support abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Full driving licence
Desirable skills and abilities:
- Previous exposure to training customers with a broad range of technical abilities
- Exposure to SQL databases

The Position will require:
- Planning and prioritising sales activities and prospect contacts, in order to achieve agreed sales and new business targets
- Developing new accounts by identifying prospects, building relationships and maximising sales opportunities on an ongoing basis
- Individual sales presentations
- Staying aware at all times of industry and market developments and the potential opportunities available to target
- Liaising with internal sales support to ensure that all sales activity is followed up appropriately
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years sales experience
- Understanding of IT systems and software
- Full UK driving licence
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in sales in Taxi and Private Hire market or other Transport industry
