Technical Solutions Consultant

Cordic Technologies Ltd (Cordic) is a leader in fleet and despatch management systems. We are investing heavily in growing our product portfolio. And we are busy building outstanding products, making them even better by adding breakthrough components and taking them to market using all instruments and channels.

Cordic is owned by CabFusion, which is a holding company and strategic investment vehicle for the UK’s largest independent Private Hire operators. CabFusion also owns The CabFusion Network (TCN), which is creating a national cross-platform network and marketplace - a significant development in the licensed private hire industry. Cordic provides the technology and platform that TCN runs on and collaborates closely with TCN.   

We are looking for a dynamic Technical Solutions Consultant to

  • Support New Business Development in acquiring new Cordic customers
  • Help existing customers to make better use of and get more business benefit from the Cordic platform by providing them with advanced technical and business advice
  • Support Product Management by identifying and documenting new product requirements, based on discussions with prospects and existing customers

What are your role and responsibilities?

The Technical Solutions Consultant will be part of the Product Management Team. Your role will include

  • Learning about and thoroughly understanding Cordic’s platform, its features and their uses
  • Working closely with the Head of New Business Development (NBD), Product Management, and Marketing to develop industry leading demonstrations of the many powerful features in the Cordic platform
  • Researching and analysing prospects and customers so that you can understand which topics and messages will resonate during your demonstrations
  • Delivering high impact product demonstrations for NBD, Account Management and Marketing to prospects and customers online, on site, and at industry shows that help operators understand how the Cordic platform gives them a competitive advantage
  • Problem-solving and suggesting how the existing feature set can deliver functionality requested by customers
  • Running advanced consultancy sessions with individual operators where you develop an understanding of their business and technical plans, and demonstrate how the Cordic platform can support them
  • Identifying, documenting and communicating potential product features to Product Management, along with relevant market information

  • You have a passion for digital technology, applying it commercially, and demonstrating how it helps businesses to transform digitally.
  • You thrive in a dynamic and demanding customer-facing role. You are energised by dealing with customers and Sales, even when they deliver tough messages.
  • You enjoy presenting and demonstrating to prospects and existing customers, to one customer and to groups of customers.
  • You love being involved in converting a prospect into a new customer.
  • You are curious commercially, and you love to research what drives a customer’s business and the key topics for the customer.
  • You get a buzz from problem-solving and using an existing feature set to deliver solutions to customers.
  • You have a track record of identifying market opportunities, documenting them, and convincing the relevant internal stakeholders of their importance.
  • You thrive working on several initiatives and projects at the same time.
  • Ideally, you have experience working in ground transportation, hackney or private hire. Experience working with one or more Despatch Management Systems, especially Cordic’s, will be a big plus.
     

What are the other details about the role?

You report to the Head of Product Marketing & Management. The location is hybrid – you will work some days in the St Ives office (Cambridgeshire) or out of the office at events or with customers. The other days of the week you can work from home. This role is permanent and full time.
